The Noah’s minnow is one of our top producers for big panfish, but it also takes its share of trout in slower streams and lakes. The Noah’s minnow will catch all panfish and a few trout. This pattern shines with timid panfish that won’t take a flashy profile. I like to fish it trailed behind a Pink Punch, the Pink Punch will pick up aggressive fish and Noah’s Minnow will get the timid ones. (Warning: fishing this combo can lead to a fair share of doubles.) Overall, this fly is a great addition to your fly box.
